Adding Additional Clients
Previous  Top  Next

Once you have established your dataset on the remote MySQL server, you should consider this to be the master. Additional desktop clients should initially perform a Full Copy Remote to Local, then use the Synchronize feature subsequently to stay up to date.

Warning: be careful who you give permission to Full Copy Local to Remote. Doing this subsequent to the initial import will cause problems for other clients attempting to synchronize with the server.

Each desktop client must be assigned a unique Station ID. The first desktop client has a default station ID of 0, and the MySQL server has a default station ID of 1. In addition, Station ID of 2 is reserved and should not be used. Additional desktop clients should be assigned IDs of 3 or higher.

To assign a Station ID to a client, open Worship Assistant on the desktop, select File->Synchronize MySQL from the main menu, and enter the desired value in the Station ID field. Click OK to save.
